愛知県瀬戸市「瀬戸染付」の技術保存・継承を目的としています
The aim is to preserve and pass on the traditional technique of Seto Sometsuke, Aichi Prefecture

当館はやきものの伝統技法である「瀬戸染付」をテーマにした施設です。 ここでは「瀬戸染付」を始めとするやきもの文化の紹介、ろくろや絵付などの作業風景の公開、名品等の企画展展示を行っています。 また市内唯一の古窯（こがま：市指定文化財の登窯）も保存・公開されています。 瀬戸の伝統産業を学べる施設として小学校の団体見学（30人程度）も多く受け入れています。 This museum is a facility with the theme of "Seto Sometsuke", a traditional pottery technique. Here, we introduce the culture of pottery such as "Seto Sometsuke", display work scenes such as potter's wheel and painting, and hold special exhibitions such as masterpieces. In addition, the only old kiln in the city (Kogama: a climbing kiln designated as a cultural property by the city) is preserved and open to the public. As a facility where you can learn about Seto's traditional industries, we accept many elementary school group tours (about 30 people).

一般的に広く知られている染付とは「青と白の器」。ここでは瀬戸の染付についてご紹介します。

絵付け体験できます

ふらっと来館してすぐできる体験と、隔月開催の予約抽選体験教室があります。
There are experiences that can be done immediately upon visiting the museum, as well as a reservation lottery experience class held every other month.

We are looking for people of all ages who have knowledge, skills, and experience in sometsuke and are motivated to make a living.
